Intro

To start lets start with the line up of the drivers which is: Me and Stefan Toth in LMP2 class and for the LMH class in the Lamborghini it was Martin Pristaš and Juraj Šmister.

Qualifying

Now let's recap the qualifying where we absolutely surpassed our expectations with me setting the 4th fastest lap time and Juraj setting the 9th fastest time in our respective classes.

Race Start

The race start was very chaotic even though it was a rolling start with classes separated. First of all the JSRA in front of us starting in 3rd had issues getting to start so we were promoted to 3rd for the start, we had a solid start but in turn 3 I was pushed on a curb and because of the lack of grip I managed to hit the car in front of us under braking. Luckily for us it was without a penalty since it was a racing incident.

Later Hours

After that I had a very though job to do and that was to get in the zone and set fast times to keep us on the podium, I managed to set times even faster then I did in qualifying which was very surprising for me. I had a long 3 hour stint in front of me since our strategy revolved mostly around me because I was a lot faster then Stefan and we wanted to minimize our loses when we swap drivers. So I stared pushing and it payed of thanks to my pace we were even in the lead of the race for about an hour, then we fell down to second because I had to pit for fuel and new tires.

Half of the race

Now we are about 2 hours into my stint, and I really started feeling it by now I was extremally tired, plus we got tangled up with our team mates in the LMH class. Martin wasn't really on the pace and I caught up to him and we had a little "fight" for which I sincerely apologize since it ended with him making a mistake and going of the track, losing time and damaging his car. Even though it was tough I was still feeling good and in control of the car but my time was almost up because in about an hour I had to give the car to Stefan. Stefan drove for about two hours and in those two hours I took a break. While he was driving he had a few incidents but otherwise he was having good pace and setting laps not that much slower then me. Even trough all this we fell down from the podium into the 5th place.

End of the race

Now it was my time to take over again for the last two stints. Even though I was pushing and having personal best times every lap I wasn't able to make up the time lost, at least we had good fights with the cars in front of us when I was unlaping my self. It was already dark in my stints so we hoped that some of the teams might make mistakes but that didn't happen.

Summary

Even trough all the struggles we managed to secure our best finish in an endurance race yet which is a whopping 5th place in the LMP2 and 10th place in the LMH class. We are looking forward to 24H of Daytona next year where we will be starting with two cars in the LMH class.
